Cancellation & Refunds
Last updated: 8 September 2026
Instructions, not a legal basis. The binding text is the Terms and Conditions, § 4 (prices, payment, term) and § 5 (right of withdrawal); the German Kündigung & Erstattung is the reference version of this page.
In short
- You can cancel at any time in your store account settings, not inside the app.
- Cancelling stops the next charge. Access continues until the end of the period you already paid for; it is not a refund for that period.
- Who refunds depends on where you bought: for purchases in the iOS app only Apple can, for purchases through Google Play it is us and Google.
1. Cancelling
iPhone/iPad: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → PushGate → Cancel Subscription.
Android: Play Store → profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → PushGate → Cancel subscription.
Both work without us and without giving a reason. You keep the full feature set until the end of the paid period; after that the app is no longer usable without an active subscription (§ 4 (1) of the Terms), so the blocking stops too.
2. Free trial
The annual plan starts with a free trial (currently seven days; the store shows the exact length before you buy). Cancel before it ends and you pay nothing. What counts is when you cancel, not when you last used the app. After the first charge, sections 3 to 5 apply.
3. Refunds for purchases through the Apple App Store
When you buy in the iOS app, the subscription contract is between you and Apple (§ 4 (2) of the Terms). We cannot refund that charge. The money never reached us.
File the request with Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com: sign in with the Apple ID you purchased with, select the PushGate charge and give a reason. Apple decides on its own authority, usually within a few days. Alternatively: Settings → [your name] → Media & Purchases → Purchase History.
If Apple declines and you believe that is wrong, write to us anyway (contact@pushgate.app). We cannot overturn the decision, but we will look at the case and tell you what we can do.
4. Refunds for purchases through Google Play
For purchases through Google Play the contract is between you and us; Google Play handles the order and the payment (§ 4 (3) of the Terms).
- Within 48 hours of the charge you can request the refund directly from Google: Google Play refund help. That is the fastest route.
- After that, email contact@pushgate.app, ideally from the address of the Google account you bought with, with the order number from Google's confirmation email. We will review it and get back to you.
Refunds always go back to the original payment method.
5. Right of withdrawal within 14 days
As a consumer habitually resident in the EU you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts. That is different from a discretionary refund: it is a right, not a favour.
- Google Play purchases and the licence contract for the app: the contract is with us, so you withdraw with us. The full notice including the model withdrawal form is in § 5 of the Terms. An email to contact@pushgate.app is enough; no form is required.
- Apple App Store purchases: the contracting party is Apple, so withdrawal follows Apple's own withdrawal notice shown during checkout (§ 5 (2) of the Terms).
Note § 5 (4) of the Terms: the right of withdrawal can expire early once we have fully performed the service at your express request.
6. What we do not refund
- No pro-rata refund for the unused remainder of a period you already paid for, outside the right of withdrawal and outside the cases in sections 3 and 4.
- Cancelling is not a refund request. It prevents the next charge; the last one stands unless you take one of the routes above.
- No refund for using the app too little. We do not measure whether you trained. Those numbers stay on your device (Privacy Policy, section 3), so we can neither prove nor disprove usage.
7. There is nothing to buy on this website
PushGate has no purchase outside the two stores: no web checkout, no payment provider and no merchant of record next to Apple and Google. That is why this page has exactly two routes instead of three, and why we hold no payment data about you (Privacy Policy, section 3.7).
8. Your statutory rights
Nothing on this page and nothing in the Terms limits mandatory consumer rights under the law of your country of residence, in particular rights in respect of defects and the right of withdrawal. Where this page and a mandatory right diverge, the law prevails.
Questions about a charge?
contact@pushgate.app. Tell us the store (App Store or Google Play), the date of the charge and the order number if you have one. Help with blocking, counting and permissions is in the help section.
